Major contract win at One The Elephant

03.11.14

Volution Group plc (LSE: FAN), a leading supplier of ventilation products to the residential construction market, today announced that it has won a major contract to supply its products to a new landmark development in London. This win marks the continued buoyancy within the construction sector which is going from strength to strength.

Volution’s Vent-Axia division will supply Sentinel Kinetic BH ventilation units for the 284 studio, one, two and three bedroom homes in the new One The Elephant development in Elephant & Castle. Comprising an elegant 37-storey tower and four-storey pavilion building One The Elephant will become a new focal point for the heart of Elephant & Castle.

The Sentinel Kinetic BH is a pioneering mechanical ventilation with heat recovery (MVHR) system designed for newbuild properties. A whole house, multi-room ducted solution, this MVHR system combines supply and extract ventilation in one unit. Warm, moist air is extracted from ‘wet’ rooms through ducting and passed through the heat exchanger before being exhausted to the outside. Fresh incoming air is preheated via the integral heat exchanger which recovers more than 94% of the heat energy that would otherwise be wasted. With comfort key for occupants the system also features a Summer Bypass to prevent overheating in Summer months and an integral humidity sensor to control air humidity levels.

Ronnie George, Chief Executive of Volution Group plc said:
“We are thrilled to be part of this exciting project which aims to set new standards for sustainable, practical and contemporary London living. Heat recovery ventilation is an essential factor for energy efficient developments, reducing excessive moisture in the air, combating condensation and providing good indoor air quality.”
